我們這次的七天旅行中, 只去印度其中一個省Maharashtra, 這個省就有台灣的七倍大。
這次行前準備, 看了一部1995年經典寶萊塢電影, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, 簡稱DDLJ，英文是The Brave-Hearted Will Take the Bride，中文為【勇奪芳心】。我非常喜歡! 是輕鬆詼諧的浪漫愛情喜劇，描述都是在英國長大的第二代印度男女相遇邂逅，但女方保守的家長，早在多年前已決定好女方的新郎。裡面的音樂與舞蹈也非常精彩!
看過之後, 在印度會看到到超市包裝上還有這些演員的照片。這次在阿曼百貨公司也有看到電影女演員代言產品的照片。

Indian Food
13th BCE: trading with Rome-pepper. India was staunchly(堅定地) carnivorous. Between the 5th and 3rd centuries BCE, Buddhism and Jainism pushed the Brahmins(婆羅門) into avoiding meat.
Islamic India
- In the 8th century-Arab merchants
- In their wake a wave of Afghan and Turkic dynasties including the Muguals(莫臥兒王朝), enriching the culinary landscape with samosa, nihari (slow-cooked meat stew), shorba(soup), sheermal(saffron-flavoured flatbread).
- The royals, enamoured(墜入愛河) of Indian flavorings such as cloves, cumin, garlic and onion, used them to temper their traditional Turkic and Persian-style cooking.
Colonial India
- the 17th century
- Baked custard, omelette, fish fry and the cutlet were among the bland British dishes that were vivified by the addition of Indian spices and techiques.
Postcolonial India
- Thanks to the ingenuity(clever and original) of Mumbai's sidewalk vendors, dishes like the Chinese dosa- dosas stuffed with noodles and stir-fried vegetables- and Chinese bhel, made with noodles crisply fried then dunked in a flaming Szechuan sauce, come into being.
